  Food is ok, I had the Ruben with fries and two beers.  32 bucks.   15 for a bloody Mary which looked like it was mostly juice.  You are trapped so what do you expect.   They get you at all airports.

  We the burger according to my husband was worse than Burger King, no flavor, for $15, it wasn't worth it, the fries we over done, we constantly had to swat the flies and gnats off our food. My cheese grill with chicken was not worth $14 either, no flavor, again, fries over done. They offer military discounts. I guess this is dining in the airport, not sure. We won't waste our money again and we will opt for the Burger King at the entrance for less money. Service was fine, our waitress was nice.

  Pretty straightforward dining
  
  I stopped here for a quick breakfast and a double bloody Mary, and there are no complaints. I ordered the simple breakfast- eggs, bacon, potatoes and the toast. The breakfast was around $10, which is not a bad price for an airport. The food came out pretty fast.
  
  Our bartender was pretty nice, and the bloody Mary was well prepared. All in all, it was a pleasant dining experience before a mid morning flight.

  There isn't a massive amount of places to choose from once you are through security in Norfolk.  I tried this given the general reviews seemed it was acceptable.  I opted for a Chesapeake crab cake sandwich.
  The staff was friendly while I was there.  Meal came out relatively quickly.  The sandwich was good and the fruit cup was ok, but a little on the small side for a side.  Nothing horrible about the place, but nothing really unforgettable either.   The crab cake isn't bad but given the price I would have to say I've had better.  Given it is at the airport though expectations should be set there.

  Whenever I go on travel I have this tradition where I have to have a Sam Adams prior to departure. I have yet to know why considering all it does is make me want to go to the bathroom while on the plane. Nonetheless, tradition is tradition. Couple notes about airport bars/restaurants I've learned over the years.
  
  1. Never go to a restaurant during a short (less than 30 minutes) layover. You're asking for trouble if you do.
  2. Keep your expectation realistic.
  3. They're all expensive.
  
  That's pretty much how I enter all these airport bars. With that ruleset, you can mindfully enter one knowing these 3 factors will always happen. That aside, this place is pretty decent. Most of the time the staff is easy to talk to and gets it. You're on travel, go it.. lets move on. One cool thing about this place was that I legit liked the food. Crazy right?
  
  Expensive? yeah.. it is... airport and convenience tax I guess. Either way, I'd say it's not a bad thing to stop by here as I know I'll be back.
